What to visit in Marie-Galante
Marie-Galante, land of rural traditions, which cultivates a peaceful lifestyle, maliciously abuses more than one observer and her heartbeat is activated in the blink of an eye to the rhythm of the party and its family complicities. Marie-Galante turns out to be today the new destination of the French West Indies. Covering an area of 158 km², the island, which is more commonly called the "big cake" in relation to its circular shape and its low relief (the highest peak, the constant dullness, rises to 204m), counts three communes and 12,410 inhabitants. Marie-Galante which counted up to 106 mills is also called "the island of a hundred mills" or the "Great dependence".
